Bibijeong is a pavilion above the Mangyeong River, and the view at sunset is the best in Wanju. The river spreads wide below, with reeds, the old railway bridge and a golden sky. The bridge is home to a train cafe, so you can enjoy a drink while watching the light.
The pavilion is free to visit. Winds can be chilly, so bring a layer. Allow about 50 minutes, and check sunset time before you go.
Photographers like to stand on the bridge-facing side, while others settle on the benches with a cup of coffee and simply watch the light fade across the water.
