A hillside house on the south-east coast best known from the Korean film Architecture 101, where the lead characters rebuild a childhood home with a sea view. Today it operates as a cafe and keeps its original design, including a sunny garden, wooden deck and a rooftop that faces the bay. Visitors come to relive the movie scenes and to take photos of the white-washed building against blue water.

Seating is limited and the rooftop sells out early on weekends. The menu is in Korean, but ordering coffee is easy. Admission costs and timetables are revised now and then.

Getting there

It is about 90 minutes by car from Jeju Airport near Wimi village in Namwon, with a small parking lot. Public transport is limited, so a rental car or taxi helps. (Show a driver: 카페 서연의집)
