Soesokkak Estuary 쇠소깍
Jeju · Seogwipo & Namwon · Parks & nature
A rare estuary where fresh water from the upland river meets the sea, creating a deep green pool between volcanic cliffs. Walking paths follow the gorge and reach a bridge for photos. At the water's edge, traditional raft-style boats called teu-u glide along with passengers, and clear-bottom kayaks are rented by the hour.
The walk itself is free, and a boat ride costs extra. The green color is strongest on sunny mornings, and it is quietest outside holidays. The site is easy for children and older visitors on the main path, though wet stairs need care.
Operating times can differ from what older guides say.
It is about 70 minutes by car from Jeju Airport, with a parking lot at the entrance. Local buses to Hawon connect with the area. (Show a driver: 쇠소깍)
