Hallim Park 한림공원

Parks & natureNature & parksHistory & palacesOutdoor

A big botanical park beside Hyeopjae Beach that blends flower gardens, bonsai displays, a small bird area and two lava tube caves into one easy walk. The caves are the highlight, since they stay cool even in summer, and some have calcium formations that grew over time. Paths are mostly flat and shaded, making this a comfortable stop for older relatives and small children.

Seasonal flower displays change through the year, with lilies, hydrangeas and cosmos taking turns. Plan about an hour and a half, and note that part of the park may close for maintenance. Expect fares and fees to drift upward over time.

Getting there

It is about 50 minutes by car from Jeju Airport, directly across the road from Hyeopjae Beach, with a large lot. West-coast buses stop at the Hallim Park stop. (Show a driver: 한림공원)
