A black-pork grill in Aewol near the harbor, at the end of the Handam coastal walk. Pork belly and neck are grilled over charcoal and served with salted shrimp sauce, garlic and lettuce wraps, with a stew to finish. It is a natural way to end an afternoon of sea walking and sunset-watching, and you can often walk from the trail without moving the car.
Staff are used to visitors and will help with grilling if you look unsure. Weekend dinners are busy, so go early or reserve. The menu is Korean-only, and prices move over time.
