Ara Maru Observatory 아라마루전망대
Incheon · Bupyeong, Gyeyang & Cheongna · Night view
This round observation deck juts out over the Ara Waterway, a canal linking Incheon to the Han River. Parts of the floor are glass, so you can look down at the water, and the railings give a long view of the canal as it stretches toward Gimpo and the sea. By day it is a pleasant short stop with open air; at night the lights make it more atmospheric.
A visit takes around forty minutes. The site is exposed, and winds can be cold in winter. It is a good complement to a stop at the nearby western waterfront.
Access may involve a taxi ride, so plan the return in advance. Facilities, hours and rules may change.
Take a taxi from Gyeyang Station (계양역) on Incheon Subway Line 1; ask for the Ara Maru. (Show a driver: 아라마루전망대)
