Bupyeong Kkang Market 부평깡시장

Incheon · Bupyeong, Gyeyang & Cheongna · Shopping

ShoppingShoppingFood & marketsOutdoor

Two traditional markets sit against each other here, forming a dense maze of stalls under shared roofs. The name Kkang is often linked to canned goods sold in the market's early years, though the story is retold in different ways. Today you will find fruit, vegetables, fish, banchan, clothes and kitchen items, along with stalls selling dumplings, fried snacks, tteokbokki and noodles.

It is crowded and loud, and prices are low. English is rare, so pointing and smiling go far. Visiting takes about fifty minutes, longer if you eat.

Many stalls close in the early evening, and hours vary. Prices change by season and vendor.
