Incheon Open Port Museum 인천개항박물관
Incheon · Open Port District & Wolmido · Museums & exhibits

Housed in a stone-built bank constructed for Japanese interests after the port opened, this museum tells how a quiet fishing area became Korea's gateway to the world. Displays use models, maps, old photographs and artifacts to show the trade, foreign settlements and daily life of the late nineteenth century. English information is available in part, and a compact route means a visit rarely runs beyond an hour.
Pair it with the nearby architecture exhibition to understand why the surrounding streets look the way they do. Ticket prices are modest and may change; it is closed on Mondays.
Walk about ten minutes from Incheon Station (인천역) along the old bank street. (Show a driver: 인천개항박물관)
