Sinpo Dakgangjeong 신포닭강정
Incheon · Open Port District & Wolmido · Meal
At the entrance to the market, this shop has become one of the most photographed food stops in Incheon. Pieces of chicken are fried in a cauldron until the crust turns glassy, then tossed in a sweet, mildly spicy sauce. Many visitors choose the half-and-half, mixing original and spicy flavors.
You can eat at tables inside or take a box out to snack as you tour the market. Waiting times stretch on weekends and in the evening, and the fast turnover makes queues move more quickly than they look. Sauce heat is moderate by Korean standards but may feel strong if you avoid spice.
Prices and menu sizes may change. A paper cup of cold drink helps.
