Gampo Port & Songdaemal Lighthouse 감포항·송대말등대
Gyeongju · East Coast & Gampo · Sights
A working fishing harbor, lined with seafood restaurants and a fish market where you can buy fresh catch and have it served upstairs. A lighthouse on the southern headland, Songdaemal, glows at dusk, and a short walk gives a good sea view. Prices for raw fish depend on weight and season, so ask first.
The trip takes about an hour from town by bus, so this is best as a half-day. Many seafood places accept cards, but cash helps at small stalls. Hours may change.
The scenery is simple, salty air, gulls and boats, rather than a developed attraction.
Take bus 100 or 700 from the bus terminal, about one hour, to the Gampo stop. Public parking at the harbor. (Show a driver: 감포항)
