Yangnam Jusangjeolli Columnar Joints & Pado-sori Trail 양남 주상절리·파도소리길
Gyeongju · East Coast & Gampo · Parks & nature
Hexagonal rock pillars of volcanic origin fan out along the shore here in a pattern that looks almost like a giant flower. The deck gives the clearest view, and a coastal boardwalk named the Pado-sori Trail runs 1.7 km between two small fishing ports, with waves crashing nearby. Allow about an hour and a half for the walk and photos.
There is no entrance fee. Wear sturdy shoes, and check the weather because waves can reach the walkway. English signs are likely, but check on site.
Cafes and seafood restaurants sit at either end for a rest. Winter surf is spectacular.
Take bus 150 from the bus terminal, about one hour, to the Eupcheon stop. Free parking at the viewing deck. (Show a driver: 주상절리)
