Jeongrok Ssambap 정록쌈밥

Gyeongju · Daereungwon, Hwangnidan-gil & Downtown · Meal

MealFood & marketsIndoor

Here the standard Gyeongju lunch plays out as ssambap: warm rice, a spread of fresh lettuce and other greens, and a pot of savory stew or grilled meat to wrap inside them. Each leaf becomes a small parcel, so eating is half the fun. The restaurant is one of several on the stretch of road beside the Daereungwon wall, so you can compare the look of each before choosing.

Two or more diners are normally required to order, and extra greens are refilled on request. Prices may change. Show the staff how spicy you want it, as some stews can be hot, and cards are generally accepted.

Group tours tend to appear around noon.
