Donghaksa Valley & Eunseon Falls 동학사계곡·은선폭포
Gongju · Gyeryongsan: Gapsa & Donghaksa · Parks & nature

The valley above Donghaksa has clear water, big rocks and shady trees, and a steep stone path leads up to Eunseon Falls. Many visitors stay at the stream below the temple, where families dip their feet in summer, and that is enough for a pleasant outing. Reaching the waterfall means an hour or more of climbing in proper shoes, with steep and sometimes slippery steps.
The area is part of a national park. There is no fee to walk it. Be careful after heavy rain, when the stones become slick and the water runs fast.
In autumn the colors along the valley are a bonus, and in summer the shade keeps it cool.
From the Donghaksa parking lot, walk uphill beyond the temple. (Show a driver: 동학사계곡·은선폭포)
