Yugu Traditional Market & Mural Village 유구전통시장·벽화마을
Gongju · Magoksa & Yugu · Shopping

A small market town historically known for textile making, with a traditional market and a set of mural-covered alleys. The wall paintings add color to otherwise ordinary lanes, and the market sells local produce and snacks at modest prices. It is quiet on most days and livelier on market days, so it gives a glimpse of everyday rural life rather than a polished attraction.
It is within walking distance of the hydrangea garden, so the two combine easily into a morning. There is no entry fee. A short stroll is enough, and a snack or an iced drink makes a good rest stop before heading back to Gongju.
A taxi or car from Gongju takes about 40 minutes; walkable from the garden parking. (Show a driver: 유구전통시장·벽화마을)
