Deokinkwan 덕인관
Damyang · Damyang Town & Juknokwon · Meal
Deokinkwan is one of the older names in town for tteokgalbi, the chopped and seasoned short rib that is shaped into a patty and grilled over charcoal. Damyang is known for this dish, and the version here comes as a set with rice and a spread of Southern-style side dishes. The meat is slightly sweet and soft rather than chewy, so it suits children and older diners.
Ask staff what to order if the menu is only in Korean, since pointing at the photo menu works well. Arriving just before or after the rush saves time, and the portions are generous enough to share.
It stands a little south of the town center; take a taxi from Damyang Bus Terminal or park at the restaurant if you are driving. (Show a driver: 덕인관)
