Damyang Market 담양시장
Damyang · Damyang Town & Juknokwon · Shopping

This is the everyday market for the town, and it is a good place to pick up modest souvenirs that actually come from the area. Stalls sell bamboo kitchenware, baskets, bamboo shoots, dried herbs, grains and seasonal vegetables, mixed with ordinary grocery shops. On market days the aisles stretch with street vendors and fill with people, while on other days it is a quiet browse.
Walk slowly and ask before taking photos of vendors. If you want to bring home something edible, look for items that travel well, such as dried goods, and check expiry dates.
It is an easy walk from Damyang Noodle Street and a short taxi ride from the bus terminal. Public lots are scattered around the market. (Show a driver: 담양시장)
