Hanjaegol Valley 한재골
Damyang · Myeongokheon, Songgangjeong & Myeonangjeong · Parks & nature
Hanjaegol is a stream valley on the foot of Byeongpung Mountain, and in summer local families come to paddle and picnic. The water is cool even in hot weather, there is shade from the trees, and a few simple restaurants nearby serve chicken dishes. It is not a developed attraction, so facilities are basic: look for toilets and parking near the entrance and expect to bring your own supplies.
Water depth and flow change with the weather, so follow signs, watch children closely, and avoid the stream after heavy rain. In spring and autumn the valley is quiet and pleasant for a short walk. Entry is free.
Plan about 80 minutes.
By car about 30 minutes west of Damyang town; public transport is limited. Park near the valley entrance. (Show a driver: 한재골)
