Gwanbangjerim Forest 관방제림
Damyang · Damyang Town & Juknokwon · Parks & nature

This is a long, tree-lined embankment of about two kilometers where hundreds of old hackberry, zelkova and muku trees stand in a row beside the Damyang stream. The forest is protected as a natural monument and is said to trace back to a flood-control bank planted centuries ago, which explains the unusually big trunks. It costs nothing, has benches under the canopy, and suits strollers and older walkers because the ground is almost flat.
In early summer the leaves are at their thickest, while in late autumn the path is covered in gold and rust.
It lies in the middle of Damyang town, so you can walk in from Juknokwon or the bus terminal area. Drivers can use the small lot near Gwanbangjerim. (Show a driver: 관방제림)
