Chuwolsan Mountain 추월산
Damyang · Metasequoia Road, Damyang Lake & Geumseong Fortress · Parks & nature

Chuwolsan is the rocky mountain that frames Damyang Lake, and it is the toughest outdoor outing in this guide. A trail climbs steeply to ridge viewpoints, and a small hermitage called Bori-am clings to a cliff face along the way. The round trip takes around three hours or more depending on the route, with steep stairs and bare rock.
Hikers get views of the lake from above, and autumn color is outstanding. It is not suitable for small children, and in wet or icy weather the rock is slippery. A short walk to the lower viewpoint is a gentler option if you do not want the full climb.
The trailhead is on the road at the lake, about 30 minutes by car or taxi from Damyang town. Park at the tourist-area lot. (Show a driver: 추월산)
