Meta Provence — Damyang Metasequoia Road, Damyang Lake & Geumseong Fortress
Photo: Korea Tourism Organization (KOGL)

Meta Provence is a themed lane of pastel buildings in a southern French style, filled with small shops, restaurants and cafes. It sits next to the metasequoia road, which makes it an easy add-on, and there is a good mix of souvenir stalls, snacks and sit-down places. The look is decorative and photogenic, so it is a favorite for couples and friends who want pictures, while families enjoy the open lanes.

Do not expect historical sights here; it is a place to browse, eat a snack and rest. Shops open and close at different times, so an evening visit might find some of them dark, and prices vary. Allow about an hour, longer if you plan a meal.

Getting there

It is next to Metasequoia Road, a five-minute drive from Damyang town. Use the shared parking lot beside the entrance. (Show a driver: 메타프로방스)
