Metasequoia Road 메타세쿼이아 가로수길
Damyang · Metasequoia Road, Damyang Lake & Geumseong Fortress · Parks & nature
Tall metasequoia trees line both sides of this road and meet overhead, creating the tunnel-like view that appears on many posters of Damyang. It is a flat, straight walk, so it suits strollers and older visitors, and the colors shift with the seasons: fresh yellow-green in spring, deep green in summer and rusty brown in late autumn. The classic photo is taken from the middle of the road toward the point where the trees converge.
A playground area near the entrance keeps children busy, and cafes and food stalls sit close to the gate. Weekends and autumn colors draw big crowds.
From Damyang town it is a five-minute drive or a taxi; buses are infrequent, so most travelers drive. Park at the ticket-office lot. (Show a driver: 메타세쿼이아 가로수길)
