Old Kim Yu-jeong Station 옛 김유정역
Chuncheon · Kim Yu-jeong & Gangchon · Sights
When the Gyeongchun Line was rebuilt, the old station house and a stretch of rail were left in place, and they now serve as a quiet photo spot and a small piece of railway memory. The building has a traditional-roof look, and the station-name sign is the favorite backdrop. There is nothing to buy and nothing to do beyond looking and photographing, so it takes about half an hour.
The new Gimyujeong Station next door is where the trains stop. Free to visit, it is open at any time as an outdoor site. Evening light makes the tracks glow, and a weekday morning means fewer people in your pictures.
It is next to the new Gimyujeong Station on the Gyeongchun Line, and the literary village car park is nearby. (Show a driver: 옛 김유정역)
