A traditional open-air market that sets up near Namchuncheon Station every five days, on the 2nd, 7th, 12th, 17th, 22nd and 27th of the month. On market days the surrounding lanes fill with farmers selling wild greens, herbs, roots, dried goods and homemade side dishes, along with snack stands for rice cakes and fried foods. It is a good place to see the rural side of Gangwon Province, and you can try small samples while you browse.

English is rare, so bring small bills and point to what you want. On other days only the permanent shops are open, and the atmosphere is far quieter.
