Jeil Dwaeji-gukbap 제일돼지국밥
Busan · Nampo-dong, Jagalchi & Yeongdo · Meal
A long-running pork and rice soup shop in the alleys of Nampo-dong, where the dish comes in a steaming bowl with pork slices and rice already mixed in. The broth is rich but clean, and the shop is a good place to try dwaeji-gukbap after a market stroll. Seasoning is left to you, with salted shrimp, chopped chives and spicy paste at the table.
Service is quick and unfussy, with little English, so a pointed finger works fine. Tables turn over rapidly, so even a line moves along. Some branches open early and others close late, and prices and hours may change.
Nampo Station (남포역), Line 1, then about a 7-minute walk into the alleys. (Show a driver: 제일돼지국밥)
