Cheonbuk Green Barley Field 천북 청보리밭
Boryeong · Cheonbuk, Cheongso & Oseosan · Parks & nature

In spring, a stretch of farmland near the Cheonbuk coast turns into a green sea of young barley rippling in the wind. Photographers and couples come for the open sky and the soft color, and the sea air adds a salty edge to the scene. Paths and farm roads let you walk along the edge of the field, and the sight is especially pretty in the morning light.
It is a pleasant short stop on a drive between the oyster village and the downtown area. Facilities are minimal, and the timing of the green phase changes each year. A visit takes under an hour, and the crop must not be trampled.
By car about 40 minutes from Daecheon Station, or taxi. (Show a driver: 천북 청보리밭)
