Yekki Village 예끼마을
Andong · Dosan Seowon & Yekki Village · Sights
Residents of the old Yean area were relocated uphill when the dam flooded their town, and their new village has been redesigned as an art street. Empty houses and walls now hold murals, little galleries and craft shops, with cafes and noodle restaurants tucked in between. Its location next to the floating walkway makes a tidy two-hour circuit.
Near the top you can see a rebuilt version of the old county office. Streets are short and mostly flat. Many shops open late morning and close early.
Cards are common, but some small stalls prefer cash.
It is beside the floating walkway, around 35 minutes by car from the old town; there is parking in the village. (Show a driver: 예끼마을)
