Korean Studies Institute Confucian Culture Museum — Andong Dosan Seowon & Yekki Village

Home to thousands of wooden printing blocks, this museum covers the book culture of Joseon scholars. The woodblocks were donated by clan houses and academies across the country, and they are inscribed in UNESCO's Memory of the World register. Galleries show how blocks were carved, inked and printed, and place the objects in the context of a scholar's life from childhood study to office or country retreat.

Displays use real objects and videos, which makes the content easier to follow. Allow about an hour. It is closed on Mondays, and entry is low-cost.

Ask about English guides.
