Woryeonggyo Bridge 월영교
Andong · Woryeonggyo Bridge & Andong Lake · Night view

Spanning the Nakdong River below Andong Dam, this 387-meter wooden footbridge is the city's most photographed night scene. A small pavilion, Woryeongjeong, sits in the middle. The bridge is said to echo a straw sandal, recalling a Joseon wife who wove shoes from her own hair to mourn her husband.
By day the view across the water is peaceful, and at night the railings and the pavilion are lit, throwing long reflections onto the river. Cafes and restaurants gather at both ends, so you can have dinner, cross at twilight, and finish with dessert. There is no admission.
Boat rides run on the water when conditions allow.
From the old town it is about 10 minutes by taxi or city bus; the south side has a large parking lot. Ask for Woryeonggyo. (Show a driver: 월영교)
