Nammangsan Sculpture Park 남망산조각공원
Tongyeong · Old Town, Gangguan & Dongpirang · Sights
This wooded hill above the old town is threaded with paths, and Korean and foreign sculptures appear unexpectedly among the trees. It feels like a walk and a gallery visit at once, with no tickets needed for the park itself. From the summit viewpoint you can see Gangguan, Dongpirang and the island-dotted sea behind them.
After dark the same hill becomes the stage for the DPIRANG light show, so its character differs completely between day and night. Paths are paved but sloped, so strollers are manageable only on the main route. Come in the afternoon for the sculptures, then stay for the sunset glow over the water before heading down.
Reach it from the south end of the Dongpirang lanes, about 15 minutes on foot from Gangguan Harbor; the DPIRANG car park is nearby. (Show a driver: 남망산조각공원)
