DPIRANG Night Light Show — Tongyeong Old Town, Gangguan & Dongpirang
Photo: Korea Tourism Organization (KOGL)

DPIRANG is a paid evening walk through a media-art and lighting installation spread over Nammangsan hill, and entry only begins after sunset. You follow a lit trail past projections and animated characters that fit into the existing slopes and trees. Tickets can be bought in advance online or at the booth, but peak seasons and weekends bring queues, so arriving a little before opening helps.

The path involves a lot of stairs and gradual climbing, so it is a poor fit for visitors who cannot manage steps. Allow about an hour. The programme and prices are updated from time to time, so confirm on the official site before you go.

Getting there

The ticket booth is on Nammangsan, about 15 minutes on foot from Gangguan Harbor; a taxi from the bus terminal is quick. (Show a driver: 디피랑)
