Yi Sun-sin Park 이순신공원
Tongyeong · Yi Sun-sin Park & Hansando · Sights

This seaside park features a large statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin facing the water, near the narrow Pandeok strait. The tide runs fast here, and the mood changes sharply between sunrise and sunset. Paths are mostly flat, with benches, lawns and sea views, making it suitable for all ages and for leashed dogs.
Entry is free. Because the park lies near the Admiral's famous naval battle area, it is a fitting place to reflect on the city's history. Evening lighting adds to the atmosphere, and a short walk from the park leads to restaurants and bakeries.
Winter sea winds are cold, so dress warmly. A morning walk here is a calm start to the day.
It is about 10 minutes by taxi from Tongyeong Intercity Bus Terminal, with a free car park. (Show a driver: 이순신공원)
