Gangguan Harbor 강구안
Tongyeong · Old Town, Gangguan & Dongpirang · Sights

Gangguan is the small inner harbor at the heart of old Tongyeong, where replica turtle ships and warships are moored beside the quay. Since the Joseon era this was the home port of the naval command, and today it is still a working harbor as well as a gathering place. By day, locals and visitors sit with snacks bought at the nearby market; after dark, shop signs light up and the reflections ripple across the water.
Weekend evenings sometimes bring street performers, though schedules are informal. Walk the full quay once, because the view changes from each corner and photos look best near dusk.
From Tongyeong Intercity Bus Terminal, take a city bus or taxi for about 10 minutes; this is the best starting point for an old-town walk. (Show a driver: 강구안)
