Beombawi Rock 영랑호범바위
Sokcho · Yeongnang Lake & Jangsa Port · Sights
On the eastern shore of the lake stands a large tiger-shaped boulder from which the path takes its name. A short walk takes you to the base of the rock, with views across the water to the Seorak range, and at dusk the reflections on the lake are lovely. A fire in the area left damage, and parts of the trail have been restricted at times, so look at signs before climbing.
Do not cross barriers. Bring water in summer. It is a quick stop of around 40 minutes, best combined with a lake walk.
Conditions may change.
Part of the Yeongnangho loop; reach it by taxi from the Express Bus Terminal in about 10 minutes, or by walking along the lake. (Show a driver: 영랑호 범바위)
