Yeongnangho Lake — Sokcho Yeongnang Lake & Jangsa Port

A calm lagoon, rimmed by willows and pines, lies just north of the city center. A level path of about eight kilometers circles the water, and you can walk the whole loop in two hours or just take a short section. Bicycle rental shops operate near the entrance in season.

On clear days the Seorak ridges rise behind the water, and in spring cherry blossoms and fresh green leaves make the lake especially pretty. In summer the loop is open and sunny, so bring a hat. Rental prices and opening hours may change.

Getting there

A taxi from the Express Bus Terminal takes about 10 minutes, and city buses stop at the lake. Free parking is near the entrance. (Show a driver: 영랑호)
