A small pavilion sits on rocks at the northern end of the harbor, and waves crash beneath it with a deep boom that locals compare to a zither's sound, which is where the name comes from. You can walk out on the platform and look across the open sea, and the spot is a favorite for sunrise watchers. Entry is free.

The rocks and decking can be slippery, so wear shoes with grip, and keep clear of the edge when waves are high. Because it is exposed, bring a windbreaker in cooler months. Opening hours and access may change in bad weather.

Getting there

A taxi from the Express Bus Terminal takes about 10 minutes, and a city bus stops nearby. A small public parking area is available. (Show a driver: 영금정)
