Seokchon Lake 석촌호수
Seoul · Jamsil & Songpa · Parks & nature
Seokchon Lake is a pair of man-made ponds in the middle of the Songpa district, and a path around them loops for about two and a half kilometers. In early April the cherry trees along the shore bloom in a tunnel of pink, and the lake becomes one of the city's busiest spring spots, with food stalls and a festival. In other seasons the paths are quiet, with joggers, couples and families passing at an easy pace.
After dark, the lights reflect on the water and the glass tower looms over the east lake. Rowing boats and rides appear on the larger western pond. Crowds can be intense during blossom season.

Songpa Station (송파역), Line 8, or Seokchon Station (석촌역), Lines 8 and 9, is close. Jamsil Station (잠실역) is also a short walk.
