Seoul Forest 서울숲
Seoul · Seongsu & Seoul Forest · Parks & nature
Seoul Forest is a large park on the north bank of the Han River that grew from a former royal hunting ground and racecourse. Its different zones include a cultural plaza, an ecological wetland, a butterfly garden and an enclosure where spotted deer wander behind a fence. The wide lawns fill with families and picnics at weekends, and the ginkgo avenue turns golden in late autumn.
Tulips and cherry trees add color in spring. Cafes line the streets between the park and Seongsu, which makes it easy to combine with a coffee stop. Opening hours of facilities may change, but the park itself is open all day.
Seoul Forest Station (서울숲역), Bundang Line, Exit 3, is a short walk to the park gate.
