Deokjin Park is a big pond park famous for its lotus flowers, which cover the water from early to mid-July. A long footbridge crosses the pond, with pavilions on the banks and a small library standing over the water. Paths loop around the edge, and in the evening, lights glow on the pavilions.

It is free and flat, and works for strollers and wheelchairs on most paths. In cool months the park is quieter but still pretty, with reeds and open sky. Bring a hat in summer, as shade is limited.

Getting there

The park is in northern Jeonju, about 25 minutes from the Hanok Village by taxi or city bus. It is close to Jeonbuk National University. (Show a driver: 덕진공원)
