Sanguburi Crater 산굼부리

A large volcanic crater with a gentle path around the rim and a bowl of grass that feels hushed from the inside. In October and November, silver grass sways in the wind across the slopes, and the crater edge is a popular place for photos. The walk takes about an hour and is fairly easy, with benches.
A garden area has native plants, with signs in Korean and some English. Wind can be strong, so bring a hat. Updated rates sometimes appear only at the entrance.
Getting there
It is about 50 minutes by car from Jeju Airport, with a large free parking lot. Buses toward Gyorae stop at the entrance. (Show a driver: 산굼부리)
