General Kim Yu-sin's Tomb 김유신장군묘
Gyeongju · Namsan & Southwest · Sights
A grave mound ringed with stone carvings of the twelve zodiac animals marks the resting place of Kim Yu-sin, a famed Silla general. The carvings are easy to spot as you circle the base, and the hillside setting is peaceful. An avenue of cherry trees lines the approach, which peaks around early April, when the road becomes a tunnel of blossoms.
Admission is modest and may change. English information may be limited, so check on site. Parking is free below the tomb.
You can see the highlights within an hour, and the walk is mostly flat with a short rise. Few visitors come, so you often have it to yourself.
Take a city bus to the Kim Yu-sin Tomb stop, or a taxi about 10 minutes from the bus terminal. Free parking below the tomb. (Show a driver: 김유신장군묘)
