Samneung Pine Forest & Valley (Namsan) 경주 남산 삼릉숲·삼릉계곡
Gyeongju · Namsan & Southwest · Parks & nature
Quiet pine trees and a stream-cut valley on the slopes of Namsan make this one of the most atmospheric walks in Gyeongju. A flat stretch among tall pines takes about twenty minutes, with mist on early mornings turning it ethereal. Those who continue up the valley reach carved rock Buddhas, a round trip of about two hours with some steep stretches.
Wear proper walking shoes, carry water, and check trail signs on site since English may be limited. Entry is generally free, though the info may change. Autumn colors in the valley are a draw.
Public transport here is sparse, so plan a taxi or car.
Take a bus toward Naenam (500 series, confirm on site) to the Samneung stop; there is a parking lot at the entrance. (Show a driver: 삼릉)
