Bomun Lake Walking Trail 보문호 산책로

Gyeongju · Bulguksa, Seokguram & Bomun · Parks & nature

Parks & natureNature & parksPhoto spotsOutdoorPet-friendly

A manmade lake ringed by hotels, cafes and walking paths, Bomun is Gyeongju's relaxed resort district. A full loop is around 7 km, which can be done on foot, by rental bicycle or e-bike from shops along the shore. The cherry blossom season in early April is the highlight, with pink tunnels around the water.

Outside spring, the lake is best around dusk, when light reflects on the surface. The path is flat and easy, so it suits families, and parts of it can be done in short segments. Rental fees and hours may change, and cards are often accepted.

Public benches and cafes are placed throughout.

Getting there

Take bus 10 or 11 from downtown, about 25 minutes, to the Bomun tourist complex stop. Public lots surround the lake. (Show a driver: 보문호)
