BTS Bus Stop & Hyangho Beach BTS 버스정류장·향호해변
Gangneung · Jumunjin, Yeongok & Sacheon · Sights
A plain bus shelter by the sea became a destination after a K-pop group used it for an album cover, and fans from all over the world now come to pose there. Queues form at busy times, so patience is needed. Behind the stop is Hyangho Beach, a quiet strip of sand worth a short stroll.
Even without the fandom it is a charming little corner of coastline. Do not climb the shelter or block the road. It takes about forty minutes including the beach.
Information may change.
From Gangneung Station (강릉역) it is about 45 minutes by taxi, or a bus toward Jumunjin and a taxi to the stop. Sign names are in Korean (향호해변), so show your driver.
