Songjeong Beach Pine Forest 송정해변 솔숲
Gangneung · Anmok, Gangmun & Songjeong · Parks & nature
The pines here are thick and old, and they muffle the noise of the coast so that you walk in cool shade a few steps from the sea. A boardwalk and dirt paths run through the trees, and the beach in front is wide and uncrowded compared with Gyeongpo. It is an easy place to rest between coffee stops, or to bring a picnic.
Families with small children like the gentle slope of the sand. A couple of simple cafes and convenience stores sit at the edge of the forest. Facilities are basic, so bring water in summer.
From Gangneung Station (강릉역) it is about a 15-minute taxi ride, or take a local bus toward Songjeong. Free parking is limited.
