This gondola climbs part of the way up Apsan, the mountain that closes off the south side of the Daegu basin, in about five minutes. From the upper station, a ten-minute footpath leads to an observation deck with views over the entire city and its ring of hills. The ride is smooth and works in most seasons, though wind or fog can pause operations.

Weekend afternoons see long queues, particularly in autumn, so go on a weekday if you can. Tickets are bought on site, and fares may change. The cable car combines well with a sunset visit to the nearby overlook, so plan to stay for the evening lights.

Getting there

Take Subway Line 1 to Anjirang or Hyeonchungno Station, then a local bus or short taxi to the Apsan Park stop. Parking is at Apsan Park. (Show a driver: 앞산케이블카)
