Soyang Lake Ferry to Cheongpyeongsa 소양호 청평사 배편
Chuncheon · Soyang Dam & Cheongpyeongsa · Fun & activities
A small passenger ferry runs from the dam pier across Soyang Lake to the landing near Cheongpyeongsa, a trip of about ten minutes. The boat is the normal way to reach the temple, since the road around the lake is long, and the crossing itself is a pleasant bit of scenery with mountains on all sides. Departures are roughly hourly, but timetables change by season and with water level or weather, so confirm the last boat back before heading up to the temple.
Tickets are bought at the pier office, usually as a round trip, and cash or card is normally accepted. Wear sun protection in summer and extra layers in winter.
Buy tickets at the ticket office beside the parking lot at the top of Soyang River Dam; city buses from Chuncheon Station reach the dam in about 30 minutes. (Show a driver: 소양호유람선 매표소)
