Soyangjeong Pavilion 소양정
Chuncheon · Soyanggang River & Geunhwa-dong · Parks & nature

Soyangjeong is an old pavilion perched on a rocky slope of Bongeui Mountain, overlooking the Soyang River and the bridge that crosses it. It is a small and quiet place, free to enter, and the view is a good reward for the short climb. Steps are steep and can be slippery after rain, so wear shoes with grip and avoid it if you have knee problems.
Information boards explain the pavilion's story, and benches let you sit for a while. Because it sits above the busy riverside, you can look down on the traffic and the water without hearing much of it. A visit takes about 40 minutes with the climb included.
Walk from Chuncheon Beongae Market along Soyangjeong-gil for roughly 10 minutes uphill; cars cannot go all the way, so go on foot. (Show a driver: 소양정)
