Soyanggang Maiden Statue 소양강처녀상
Chuncheon · Soyanggang River & Geunhwa-dong · Sights

This big statue of a young woman on a riverbank was set up to commemorate Soyanggang Cheonyeo, a popular Korean song about the river and its girl. Visitors treat it as a photo stop, especially at sunset when the sky glows behind the figure. It is free, needs no ticket and takes just a few minutes, so it rarely needs a plan of its own.
Pair it with a walk along the riverside path or with a visit to the nearby skywalk, which starts in the same area. Benches and a small plaza allow you to rest. If you know the song, a local might hum it at you.
There are no facilities beyond a few kiosks.
Walk about 15 minutes from Chuncheon Station toward the river, near the south end of Soyang 2 Bridge. Shared public parking serves both this site and the skywalk. (Show a driver: 소양강처녀상)
