Songjeong is a long beach on the northeast edge of Busan with a laid-back, surf-town feel. Surf schools line the sand, and on most days a few brave riders paddle out into the waves, so it is a convenient place to try the sport with a lesson and a rental board. Cafes sit on the hill above, and the beach has a promenade for walking.

In summer it opens for swimming, though it is quieter than Haeundae. A train station sits close by, which makes the trip easy. Weather and wave conditions vary day to day, and shop prices and hours may change.
