Haeundae Beach 해운대해수욕장
Busan · Haeundae & Marine City · Parks & nature
Haeundae is Korea's best-known beach, a long curve of pale sand backed by a wall of high-rises that gives the sea a faintly Miami look. It fills with swimmers and rented umbrellas in July and August, and with joggers, couples and buskers for the rest of the year. A paved promenade runs along the whole shore, so you can stroll from the rocky headland at one end to the old fishing quarter at the other without leaving the sea breeze.
Come back at night when the seafront is lit, and note that winter often brings a seasonal light festival. Events, swimming rules and opening dates change, so check posted notices.
Haeundae Station (해운대역), Line 2, then follow the signs toward the beach for about 10 minutes on foot. (Show a driver: 해운대해수욕장)
